1. Summary

Welcome to Storied Ink! By accessing our website or purchasing from us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms outline your rights and responsibilities when placing an Order, using our Services, or interacting with our business.

  • Full payment is due at checkout for all Print Orders and Semi-Custom Orders. For Custom Commissions, a non-refundable deposit is required before the initial sketch production begins. The remaining balance must be paid in full before painting production begins. The required deposit amount will be specified in the Custom Ketubah Commission Agreement provided to the Client.
  • All products remain the property of Storied Ink until full payment is received. 
  • We respect your privacy and handle your personal information with care and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • Clients are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, VAT, or import fees. For international orders, Storied Ink ships under DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid), meaning these costs are paid by the recipient upon delivery.
  • Clients are responsible for reviewing and approving all Text Proofs in a timely manner; clients should approve the Proofs within three (3) business days. Delays in proofing may directly impact production and delivery timelines.
  • Storied Ink reserves the right to amend these Terms and to cancel Orders in accordance with our policies.

 

 

2. Definitions

These Terms & Conditions use the following defined terms:

  • “Storied Ink” refers to Storied Ink and may include its affiliates, employees, officers, directors, agents, and representatives, depending on context. The terms “we,” “our,” and “us” shall also refer to Storied Ink.
  • “Products” refer to ketubahs, any customizations thereof, and any additional goods offered for purchase through the Storied Ink website.
  • “Services” refer to the e-commerce platform provided via our website, including purchasing functionality and customer support tools.
  • “Users” are any individuals who visit our website or use our Services, referred to as “you.”
  • “Clients” are users who have completed a transaction to buy a product.
  • “Website” refers to the website operated by Storied Ink, including all current and future subdomains, pages, and content.

  • “Custom Ketubah Commission Agreement” refers to the written agreement entered into between Storied Ink and a Client for a custom commission, detailing the project scope, fees, timeline, and other relevant terms.
  • “Order” refers to a confirmed request placed by the Client to purchase one or more Products or Services from Storied Ink, including any Custom Ketubah Commissions, Print Orders, Semi-Custom Orders or related items.
  • “Proof / Text Proof” refers to a draft or sample of the Product or Service provided by Storied Ink for Client review and confirmation prior to final production. For Custom Ketubah Commissions, Semi-Custom Orders, and Print Orders, the Proof consists solely of the finalized text layout; printed and hand-painted artwork are not included. Approval indicates the Client’s acceptance of the design and content as final.

Additional terms may be defined throughout these Terms & Conditions and are clearly marked by being bolded, capitalized, and in quotation marks.

 

 

3. General Code of Conduct

By using our Website or Services, you agree to:

  • Comply with all applicable laws, these Terms & Conditions, and any other Storied Ink policies posted on the Website;
  • Respect all copyright, trademark, and moral rights associated with Storied Ink’s products;
  • Respect intellectual property rights, and not use the Website or Services in a way that infringes on the rights of Storied Ink or any third party;
  • Not use the Website or Services to transmit spam, viruses, malicious software, or harmful code;
  • Not disrupt or interfere with our systems, attempt to gain unauthorized access to data, or compromise the security of the Website or Services;
  • Use personal information responsibly, and not collect or misuse it in violation of Storied Ink’s Privacy Policy;
  • Not overload or bypass technical safeguards, including scraping, hacking, or circumventing security measures;
  • Respect the experience of others, and not interfere with any third party’s use or enjoyment of the Website or Services;
  • Refrain from any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful behavior, and use the Website and Services in good faith and in compliance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws. 

 

 

4. Product Descriptions

Product images and descriptions on Storied Ink’s website and marketing materials are provided for illustrative purposes only. Due to the handmade nature of our custom works and variations in monitor displays, actual colors, textures, and details may vary slightly from those shown. Each custom piece is unique and one-of-a-kind, with minor differences expected and appreciated as part of its character. For Prints, the design is consistent, but actual colors may vary slightly due to differences in monitor displays and viewing settings. While the Website attempts to be accurate in its product descriptions, Storied Ink does not guarantee that all product descriptions are error-free, complete, or current.

 

 

5. Personal Information

All personal information you provide is used solely for processing Orders, managing communication, and ensuring delivery. Certain information, such as your name, email, shipping address, and order history, is securely stored within our e-commerce platform (Shopify) to allow us to fulfill your Order. Your payment information is processed securely through third-party gateways using SSL encryption and is never stored by us. For full details, please refer to our full Privacy Policy on our website.


5A. Shopify Hosting

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services. Your data is stored securely through Shopify's infrastructure and protected by their privacy and security policies. Storied Ink is not responsible for Shopify's performance, outages, or any breaches within their system. By using our Website, you acknowledge and agree to Shopify’s Privacy Policy.


 

 

6. Payments & Ordering

6A. Payment Terms
All payments must be made securely through Shopify’s platform or supported third-party providers (e.g., PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay). Storied Ink does not store card data. Buyers under the age of 18 must have parental permission to place an Order.

  • Within the United States:
    All prices are listed in USD and include free standard shipping unless otherwise specified. Applicable sales tax will be applied at checkout and is the responsibility of the buyer.
  • Outside the United States:
    Prices for international orders are displayed and charged in the buyer’s chosen country currency (e.g., GBP, EUR, CAD, ILS). The exact amount billed will depend on the currency selected at checkout.

All international orders ship under DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) terms. The buyer is responsible for paying any applicable VAT, customs duties, import fees, or local taxes directly to the carrier or customs office upon delivery.

6B. Print & Semi-Custom Orders
Full payment is due at checkout. Orders will not be shipped until payment is received in full and Text Proofs have been approved by the Client. For US orders, shipping costs are included in the retail price unless otherwise specified. For international orders, a flat-rate shipping fee will be applied and displayed at checkout. Payment fees are displayed before purchase confirmation.

6C. Custom Commissions
A non-refundable deposit is required before the initial sketch production begins. The remaining balance must be paid in full before painting production begins. Customizations or changes to the design, layout, text, or illustration after painting has begun may not be possible or may incur additional fees at the discretion of Storied Ink. Shipping costs are included in the commission fee agreed upon by Storied Ink and the Client in the signed Custom Ketubah Commission Agreement, unless otherwise specified.

6D. General Policies

  • All products remain the property of Storied Ink until paid in full.
  • Prices are final at the time of Order and are not subject to adjustment.
  • Orders will not ship until full payment has been received and Text Proofs have been approved by the Client.
  • If payment is declined or not received, Storied Ink may cancel the order without notice and retain any deposits or partial payments. Any costs incurred due to payment failure or cancellation may be charged to the Client.
  • Payments made indicate agreement to all terms listed herein and, where applicable, on the Custom Ketubah Commission Agreement.

 

 

7. Force Majeure

Storied Ink is not liable for any delay, disruption, or failure to fulfill Orders or provide Services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. These may include, but are not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, labor strikes, supply chain or shipping interruptions, governmental actions, internet or power outages, or any other force majeure event. In such cases, obligations may be suspended for the duration of the event. If a delay becomes prolonged or indefinite, Storied Ink may offer alternative solutions, timelines, or partial refunds where appropriate.

 

 

8. Taxes & Customs Duties

Clients are responsible for all applicable taxes, VAT, import duties, and customs fees related to their order. Clients must provide accurate and complete customs information when required. Storied Ink is not liable for any such charges, customs delays, or confiscation of shipments by customs authorities. We recommend that Clients review their local import regulations before placing an order to avoid unexpected fees or delays.

 

 

9. Proofing & Text Changes

Clients are responsible for reviewing and approving all Proofs:

  • Print & Semi-Custom Orders: Text selection is made on the product page before checkout. A Text Proof will be emailed for the Client’s final review and approval before production begins.
  • Custom Commissions: A Text Proof will be emailed for the Client’s final review before painting begins.

Clients must review and approve the final Text Proof within three (3) business days of receiving it via email to avoid delays. Any delay may affect production and delivery timelines. Text changes must be submitted in a single, complete written response. Additional fees may apply for design or font modifications beyond initial scope.

 

 

10. Errors & Reprints

Storied Ink is committed to producing high-quality work and Client satisfaction. Clients will have multiple opportunities to review and approve Text Proof(s) before production. Clients are fully responsible for proofreading and approving final Proofs. No ketubah is printed without explicit final approval from the Client. 

Additional fees may apply for multiple rounds of final Proof revisions if the Client requests extensive changes, provides unclear instructions, or makes repeated alterations beyond the initial agreed-upon scope. Storied Ink strives to ensure accuracy and quality but reserves the right to charge for extra proofing to cover the additional time and materials required.

For Print Orders, Semi-Custom Orders, and Custom Commissions, once a Text Proof is approved and the ketubah enters production, Storied Ink is not responsible for any errors in the approved content. If there is an error in the text that was not present in the approved Text Proof, please contact us within seven (7) days of delivery and provide photographs.

For Semi-Custom Orders that include hand-applied elements (such as gold leaf, painting, or embellishments), each piece is unique and may exhibit slight variations in color, texture, placement, or finish. These natural variations are inherent to hand-crafted work and are not considered defects.

If the Client requests changes or discovers an error after production has begun or is completed, reprints may be arranged at cost and are not guaranteed to arrive by a specific date. Reprints are for personal use only, are subject to availability, and are quoted separately. Prices for reprints may vary from the original Order price.

Files are not stored indefinitely; future availability is not guaranteed. 

 

 

11. Shipping Damage

Storied Ink is not liable for any damage after the product has shipped and title has transferred to the Client. Storied Ink is not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier or customs.

If a Product is damaged during shipping, the Client must notify the carrier immediately. No refunds are available after printing. Storied Ink will assist with insurance or carrier claims where possible, but cannot guarantee replacement until the shipping carrier accepts liability. Clients are responsible for providing accurate shipping information at the time of purchase.

 

 

12. Return & Cancellation Policy

Custom Commissions: A non-refundable deposit is required before the initial sketch production begins. The remaining balance must be paid in full before painting production begins. No Returns are accepted on custom commissions.

Semi-Custom Orders: Semi-Custom Orders may be canceled prior to approval of the final Text Proof with a full refund minus any processing fees. Once production begins, Orders are final and non-refundable.

Print Orders: Print Orders may be canceled prior to approval of the final Text Proof with a full refund minus any processing fees. Once production begins, Orders are final and non-refundable. 

Storied Ink reserves the right to cancel an Order due to unforeseen circumstances or product unavailability. In such cases, a full refund will be issued.

12a. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Storied Ink and its owners, employees, agents, or affiliates shall not be liable for any loss or damages (direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive) arising from or related to:

  • Your use, or inability to use, the Website or Services;
  • Any products purchased, including physical or digital items;
  • Any errors or omissions in any content;
  • Delays, interruptions, or performance failures;
  • Any third-party content, services, or external links.

This includes but is not limited to loss of profits, business interruption, data loss, or other financial damages, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. 

You agree that your use of the Website and Services is at your own risk. This limitation of liability will apply regardless of the form of action, whether in contract, warranty, tort, negligence, strict liability or under any other legal theory.

 

 

13. Production & Shipping Timelines

Production times vary by product and will be estimated at the time of booking. 

  • Print Orders: Print ketubahs are typically shipped within three (3) weeks of final Text Proof approval by the Client via email.
  • Semi-Custom Orders: Semi-Custom ketubahs are typically shipped within three (3) to six (6) weeks of the final Text Proof approval, depending on the scope of the selected customization add-ons.
  • Custom Commissions: Timelines for custom commissions are outlined in the Custom Ketubah Commission Agreement signed by the Client and are typically four (4) to eight (8) weeks from the date of final Text Proof, depending on the complexity of the design and any additional customization. Storied Ink will make every reasonable effort to meet the agreed delivery timeline.

Clients are responsible for reviewing Proofs and for timely responses. Delays in approval may impact production and shipping timelines. While we strive to ensure timely delivery, shipping timelines are not guaranteed and may be affected by carrier delays or circumstances beyond our control (see Force Majeure).

Storied Ink’s preferred shippers are USPS and FedEx for domestic shipments and DHL for international shipments. Tracking information is provided for all shipments. Clients have the option to select expedited shipping at their own cost during checkout or by request prior to shipping.

Rush Orders may be accommodated for an additional fee. Please contact team@storied-ink.com with rush Order inquiries.

 

 

14. Copyright

All artwork, both physical and digital, designs, and text are the exclusive intellectual property of Storied Ink. Clients are granted a non-transferable, non-commercial license for personal use only. Any reproduction, resale, distribution, or commercial use—including but not limited to wedding programs, invitations, or decor—is prohibited without written consent from Storied Ink.

All content on the Website—including but not limited to text, images, graphics, logos, audio, video, downloadable files, and underlying code—is the intellectual property of Storied Ink or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. No content may be copied, reproduced, modified, displayed, or distributed without prior written consent, except where permitted by law. Unauthorized use may result in civil or criminal penalties.

Storied Ink reserves the right to pursue legal remedies, including but not limited to cease and desist orders, for any unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of its intellectual property, including artwork, designs, and proprietary content.

15. Interruption of Service

Occasionally, our Website or Services may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or updates. Storied Ink will strive to make this unavailability as brief as possible but is not liable for any damages or disruptions resulting from the interruption of the normal functioning of the Website or Services.

 

 

16. Suspension or Termination

Storied Ink reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Website or Services at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or any other applicable policy.

Storied Ink also reserves the right to discontinue the Website or Services, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. Storied Ink is not liable for any losses or damages resulting from such suspension, termination, or discontinuation.

These Terms remain effective after termination where provisions concern intellectual property, liability, and indemnification.

 

 

17. External Links

Our Website and Services may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Storied Ink. These links are provided solely for your convenience, and accessing them is at your own risk. We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.

Storied Ink is not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, security, or privacy practices of any third-party websites or services, nor do we endorse or accept liability for any products, services, or content offered on or through them—including any loss, damage, viruses, or harmful code that may result.

Storied Ink is not a party to any transactions between you and third parties linked from our Website. Any issues or disputes relating to purchases, services, or shared data must be resolved directly with the third party.

 

 

18. Disclaimer of Warranties

You understand and agree that your use of the Storied Ink Website, Services, or any materials (including purchased products or downloadable content) is at your own risk. Storied Ink provides all products and services “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Storied Ink makes no guarantees that the Website or Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components. You are solely responsible for any loss or damage resulting from your use of our Website, Services, or products. We can not guarantee that any digital content will be free of viruses or harmful components.

Storied Ink makes no guarantee that the Products and Services will meet your expectations or requirements beyond what is expressly shown and described. While we strive to ensure that information is accurate and up-to-date, we make no warranties about the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any content. 

Storied Ink makes no guarantees that shipping timelines will be met without delay due to carriers or customs.

 

 

19. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Website shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at team@storied-ink.com. If not resolved within thirty (30) days, either party may bring a claim in the courts located in Sarasota County, Florida.

20. Studio Values & Conduct

Storied Ink is a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive creative studio. By placing an Order, Clients agree to engage with the studio in a spirit of mutual respect and trust.

We believe in clear communication, honoring artistic labor, and preserving the joy and integrity of the creative process. To support this:

  • We ask that all Client correspondence remain courteous and constructive.
  • Excessive demands, unkind language, or disrespectful behavior may result in cancellation of your Order without refund.
  • We welcome questions, ideas, and inspiration—please bring them with openness and flexibility.
  • Final creative decisions, including artistic interpretation and composition, are made at the discretion of the artist(s).

We’re deeply honored to be part of your celebration. Thank you for treating our work and time with the care we bring to every ketubah we create.

 

 


21. Final Notes

Storied Ink reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time, and we reserve the right to amend any information, including but not limited to prices, technical specifications, terms of purchase, and product offerings, without prior notice. Continued use of our website after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We also reserve the right to refuse or cancel any Order in line with our Cancellation Policy.

These Terms constitute the full agreement between you and Storied Ink concerning your use of our Website and Services, and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

These Terms do not create any partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between the parties.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Failure by Storied Ink to enforce any right or provision under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. 

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, specifically Sarasota County, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
