Our Story
Storied Ink is a female-founded studio created by two sisters-in-law, one an Israeli entrepreneur and the other a Jewish American artist, who came together to craft meaningful, modern ketubahs that celebrate love, commitment, and tradition.
A ketubah isn’t just a wedding document; it’s the first page in the story of your home and your future. That’s why each ketubah we design is made with care, meaning, and heart.
Whether you choose from our Signature Collection or collaborate on a fully custom piece, your ketubah will be rooted in tradition, rich with artistry, and designed to reflect your values and your unique love story.

Meet
Danielle Mackie
Danielle is the co-founder, creative director, and strategic force behind our ketubah studio. With a background in software development and a lifelong entrepreneurial spirit, she brings big-picture thinking and digital expertise to every part of the business from branding to customer experience. Danielle has built and consulted businesses since the age of 20, always drawn to the question- how can we make this better?
Born and raised in Israel, Danielle served in the IDF and grew up deeply connected to Jewish life and tradition. The idea for the studio began while opening her own ketubah alongside Darby and realizing they could create something far more meaningful. Together, they reimagined what a ketubah could be, a work of art rooted in heritage, rich with story, and made to be proudly displayed.

Meet
Darby Mackie
Darby is the artist, co-founder, and visual storyteller behind our ketubah studio, proudly female-owned and run. Drawing and painting have been a constant thread throughout her life, shaping a creative process centered on narrative, thoughtful composition, and meaningful detail. Her work reflects a deep respect for Jewish tradition while celebrating contemporary, vivid, hand-painted artistry.
Meeting her sister-in-law, partner, and co-founder sparked the idea for this studio, a collaboration born from shared values of family, creativity, and honoring heritage. Together, they bring their unique strengths to Storied Ink, establishing a studio devoted to creating ketubahs that are both timeless and personal.
