Refund policy

At Storied Ink, we are committed to producing high-quality work and client satisfaction. Because many of our pieces are customized or created as one-of-a-kind commissions, our return and refund policies are specific to the type of order placed.

Custom Commissions

  • A non-refundable deposit is required before initial sketch production begins.
  • The remaining balance must be paid in full before painting begins.
  • Custom Commissions are final sale and not eligible for return or refund.

Semi-Custom Orders

  • Orders may be canceled prior to approval of the final Text Proof. In such cases, a full refund will be issued minus any payment processing fees.
  • Once the final Text Proof is approved and production begins, the order is final and non-refundable.

Print Orders

  • Orders may be canceled prior to approval of the final Text Proof. In such cases, a full refund will be issued minus any payment processing fees.
  • Once the final Text Proof is approved and production begins, the order is final and non-refundable.

Errors & Reprints

  • Clients are responsible for carefully reviewing and approving their final Text Proofs. Storied Ink is not liable for errors in approved content.
  • If there is an error in the text that was not present in the approved Text Proof, please contact us within seven (7) days of delivery and provide photographs.
  • For Semi-Custom Orders with hand-applied elements (such as gold leaf or embellishments), each addition is applied by hand and therefore unique. Variations in color, texture, placement, or finish are part of the creative process and are not considered defects.
  • If changes or corrections are requested after production has begun, reprints may be arranged at cost. Reprints are quoted separately, are for personal use only, and are not guaranteed to meet original timelines.
  • Because files are not stored indefinitely, reprints may not always be available.

Damaged or Defective Items

Storied Ink is not responsible for damage caused by carriers during shipment.
If your order arrives damaged, please contact the shipping carrier immediately to initiate a claim. No refunds are available after printing. Storied Ink will assist with insurance and carrier claims where possible, but cannot guarantee replacement unless the shipping carrier accepts liability.

Order Cancellations by Storied Ink

We reserve the right to cancel an order due to unforeseen circumstances or product unavailability. In such cases, you will receive a full refund.
